What about the Holy Doors?
During the 2025 Jubilee in Italy, the “Holy Doors” will be open at the following four major basilicas in Rome: St. Peter’s Basilica, St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major, and St. Paul Outside the Walls; with the opening ceremony taking place on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, at St. Peter’s Basilica, marking the start of the Jubilee year.
Key points about the 2025 Jubilee Holy Doors:
- Opening Dates:
- St. Peter’s Basilica: December 24, 2024 (Christmas Eve)
- St. John Lateran: December 29, 2024 (Feast of the Holy Family)
- St. Mary Major: January 1, 2025 (Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God)
- St. Paul Outside the Walls: January 5, 2025 (Vigil of Epiphany)
- Closing Date: All Holy Doors will close on December 28, 2025.
Walking through a Holy Door during a Jubilee year is considered an act of renewal and the faithful, ‘pilgrims of hope’, will be able to obtain the Indulgence by undertaking a pilgrimage to any sacred Jubilee site.

Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo. (B,D)
Thursday, July 10 – Day 5 | San Giovanni Rotondo – Monte Sant’ Angelo – San Giovanni Rotondo
Saint Padre Pio lived in San Giovanni Rotondo for 50 years. We will pray at his tomb, and see his uncorrupt body in the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace. Saint Pio is truly a miraculous being, known for his stigmata, mysticism and sufferings.
