Day 1 | USA – Rome, Italy
Board your flight to Rome. Dinner and breakfast served during your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 | Rome
Upon arrival in Rome, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. You are in the Eternal City –one of the greatest cities in the world. Remainder of the day is free to relax. Enjoy a group dinner tonight at your hotel. (D)

Day 3 | Rome
In the morning we will attend the Papal Audience and receive a Blessing by His Holiness the Pope in St. Peter’s Square. (Pending schedule of the Holy Father, subject to change at last moment). In the afternoon, we tour the city including famous monuments of Rome: The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Basilica of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major. (B, D)

Day 4 | Rome
This morning we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, including Pope St. John Paul II’s tomb in Vatican City. Millions come every year to these breathtaking pilgrimage sites. This is the world’s largest Basilica, designed by architects such as Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. After lunch, we will tour the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, Raphael’s Room, and more. Enjoy dinner this evening on your own in the Eternal City. (B)

Day 5 | Rome – Monte Cassino – San Giovanni Rotondo
After breakfast we visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls by the oldest Roman road, the Appian Way. We then leave Rome through the Italian countryside to Monte Cassino. We visit the Abbey and learn the history of the 1944 Battle of Monte Cassino. In the afternoon we travel the absolutely stunning landscape of Italy to its eastern coast along the Adriatic Sea, to San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo. (B, D)

Day 6 | San Giovanni Rotondo – Monte Sant’Angelo
Saint Padre Pio lived in San Giovanni Rotondo for 50 years. We will pray at his tomb, and see his uncorrupt body in the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace. Saint Pio is truly a miraculous being, known for his stigmata, mysticism and sufferings. In the afternoon we will travel to Monte Sant’Angelo to visit the Grotto of Michael the Archangel, the very famous place where thousands, including many Popes, come seeking the protection of St. Michael the Archangel. (B, D)

Day 7 | San Giovanni Rotondo – Lanciano – Loreto – Assisi
Today we part with San Giovanni Rotondo to head north. We will pray at the Sanctuary of the Eucharistic Miracle in Lanciano where in the 8th century the host visibly changed to flesh and the wine visibly changed to blood when a monk doubted the presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. After Holy Mass and lunch we continue to the Marian Shrine of Loreto. In the evening arrive in Assisi for another delicious Italian dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 8 | Assisi
Today we have a full day to enjoy the peaceful and tranquil village of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Visit St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, St. Francis’ Porziuncola, and Capella Del Transito. Pray in the Shrine, inspired by Giotto’s frescoes of the life of St. Francis. Visit the monastery and the Basilica of St. Clare to pray before the San Damiano crucifix from which Jesus told St. Francis to rebuild His church. Time to ourselves to explore Assisi. (B)
Day 9 | Assisi – Siena – Pisa – Florence
After breakfast we will head north to Siena, the home of Saints Catherine and Bernardine. We will visit the Basilica of St. Francis, home to the famous Eucharistic Miracle of 1730 where thieves stole the consecrated Sacred Host. They were soon found in a collection basket with dirt. The Sacred Hosts did not change or degrade in the passing of time. In the Basilica of San Domenico we will see the incorrupt head of St. Catherine. After Holy Mass we continue to Pisa where you will see the famous Leaning Tower. Also you will visit the Cathedral and the Baptistery – where the special echo inside has enthralled tourists for so many years. After free time for lunch and shopping we will continue to Florence. Day 10 | Florence
Today we will visit Florence, home of Michelangelo, Dante, Boccaccio, Leonardo da Vinci, and others. Our tour will include the impressive Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza del Duomo, Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio. This afternoon, time to explore and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 11 | Florence – Padua
After a filling breakfast, we depart for Padua. Visit the Basilica and the tomb of Saint Anthony. We will celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica along with time for private prayer. In front of the Basilica you will see Donatello’s famous statues. Enjoy a group dinner and overnight in Padua. (B, D)

Day 12 | Padua – Venice
In the morning, enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of beautiful Venice. We will take a boat to St. Mark’s Square, and see the Venetian–Byzantine Basilica of San Marco, Palace of the Doges, and The Bridge of Sighs. In the afternoon take free time for shopping and coffee. We will have a group dinner tonight in an Italian restaurant with great food and fine wines. (B, D)

Day 13 | Departure – USA
After breakfast where we share our delightful memories together transfer to the airport for our flight home. Ciao Italia! (B)

After breakfast and Holy Mass we bid Assisi farewell and depart for our journey north to Padua. An early arrival in Padua gives us the opportunity to rest, or make a special stop along our travels north. (B, D)

Day 8 | Padua – Venice
In the morning, enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of beautiful Venice. We will take a boat to St. Mark’s Square, and see the Venetian–Byzantine Basilica of San Marco, Palace of the Doges, and The Bridge of Sighs. The afternoon and evening are free for you to enjoy shopping and a Venetian restaurant with great food and fine wines. (B)

Day 9 | Padua – Salzburg
Visit the Basilica and the tomb of Saint Anthony. We will celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica along with time for private prayer. In front of the Basilica you will see Donatello’s famous statues. In the late morning, our coach crosses the Austrian border, and continues to the beautiful alpine city of Salzburg. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg. (B, D)

Day 10 | Salzburg – Vienna
After a short tour of Salzburg, the birthplace of the famous composer Wolfgang Mozart, we will continue to the capital of Austria – Vienna. Dinner and overnight in Vienna. (B, D)

Day 11 | Vienna
We will take you on a guided bus tour of the city, including: The Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro–Hungarian Empire, magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and other vivid reminders of Vienna’s imperial history. In the evening enjoy your farewell dinner with wine. (B, D)

Day 12 | Vienna Departure for USA
After breakfast where we share our delightful memories together, transfer to the airport in Vienna for our flight home. (B)

Day 1 | USA – Lisbon
Depart the USA for your overnight flight to Lisbon, Portugal. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

Day 2 | Arrive Lisbon
Dependent upon the time of our arrival in Lisbon, we may begin with a driving city tour, including the Basilica of the Star, Rossio Square and Commerce Square. We may also visit the Cathedral, St. Jerome’s Monastery and St. Anthony’s Church. We will check into the hotel and have the balance of the day to rest after our long journey. This evening we enjoy a filling dinner together. (D)

Day 3 | Lisbon – Santarém – Fatima
Today we travel to Santarém and the Church of St. Stephen, the place of the oldest known Eucharistic miracle. We celebrate Holy Mass and continue to Fatima where Our Blessed Virgin appeared to three children, crying for peace. (B, D)

Day 4 | Fatima
Spend all day today in Fatima, the Little Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica, the site of Francesco and Jacinta’s graves, the Hamlet of Aljustrel and Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared when the children returned from being falsely imprisoned. We will walk the Stations of the Cross along Via Sacra ending at the Chapel of Calvary, with a beautiful view of Fatima. Participate in the nightly candlelight procession. (B, D)

Day 5 | Fatima
We have the entire day free in Fatima for personal prayer, reflection, and Holy Mass. Again, join in the nightly rosary precession and prayers with thousands of other pilgrims. (B, D)

Day 6 | Fatima – Lisbon – Rome – Orvieto – Assisi
After breakfast we head to the airport for our flight to Rome. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Assisi. On the way to Assisi, stop in Orvieto to celebrate Holy Mass and explore the Orvieto Cathedral, a large 14th-century church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Region of Umbria. Upon arrival in Assisi, enjoy dinner together and rest. (D) Day 7 | Assisi Today enjoy a full day in the peaceful and tranquil village of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. After breakfast we depart for Naples. En route, we stop in Pompeii to see the ruins of a city buried by a catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in the year 79AD. Later we visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary. In the late afternoon we enjoy the scenery of the Bay of Naples from Sorrento. (B,D)

Day 11 | Capri – Rest Day
Today we take a boat ride to the famous island of Capri where we have a splendid day to take in the Mediterranean scenery and relax. (B,D)

Day 12 | Sorrento – Monte Cassino – Rome, Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, Catacombs of St. Callixtus
Today we make an early departure from Sorrento to Rome. Along the way we make a stop in Monte Cassino, the principle monastery of the Benedictine Order, founded by Saint Benedict around 530 A.D. Continue to Rome and visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls by the oldest Roman road, the Appian Way. Time permitting explore the nearby Domino Quo Vadis Chapel, the Baths of Caracalla, the Arch of Drusus, the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, and the catacombs of St. Callixtus. Late tonight we enjoy a delicious meal in our hotel together. (B, D)

Day 13 | Rome

Day 14 | Ancient and Christian Rome – Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Holy Staircase, Basilicas of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major.
Today will be an intense day of Ancient and Christian Rome, one of the busier walking days as our tour bus cannot drive to every site we will be visiting. Begin with a visit to the famous monument of Ancient Rome – the Colosseum. We take you around and explain the history of the arena and the events that took place here, while you stand on the same spot as emperors, gladiators and the Roman mob. From here, go through the Roman Forum, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Continue to the Trevi Fountain, the Holy Staircase and Basilicas of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major. This city tour is largely by foot and makes for a long day. Enjoy dinner on your own tonight in Rome. (B)

Day 15 | Rome – Papal Audience In the morning we will attend the Papal Audience and receive a Blessing by His Holiness the Pope in St. Peter’s Square. (Pending schedule of the Holy Father, subject to change at last moment). In the afternoon enjoy your last day free for shopping and leisure. Day 7 | Padua – Venice
In the morning we will head towards our destination of Venice. Upon arrival we will enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of this alluring city. We will take a boat to St. Mark’s Square and see the Venetian-Byzantine Basilica of San Marco, Palace of the Doges, and The Bridge of Sights. In the afternoon take free time for shopping and coffee. We will have a group dinner tonight in an Italian restaurant with great good and fine wines. (B, D)

Day 8 | Venice – Lugano
This morning we say ciao to Italy and hello to the Italian community of Lugano in Switzerland. The scenic drive between these cities will offer breathtaking views of the countryside. While approaching Lugano, we will see both Lake Como and Lake Lugano, some of the most stunning lakes in the world. These two lakes are known for having the Alps as their backdrops which provides a truly remarkable sight. This afternoon you are free to explore this gorgeous city and return to the group for dinner. (B, D)

Day 9 | Lugano
We will spend the whole day touring all that Lugano has to offer. Walking through town we have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli and the Church of San Rocco. After a leisurely lunch the group will take a boat tour around Lake Lugano, soaking in all of the God’s beauty. This evening enjoy dinner on your own. (B)

Day 10 | Lugano – Locarno
We leave the mystifying city of Lugano for another treasure of the Swiss Alps, Locarno. Locarno is situated in the Southern Alps and provides a small town atmosphere. While here we will see the Astrovia Locarno which is a scale model of the Solar System. We are also visiting the Madonna del Sasso which is where the Virgin Mary appeared to the Franciscan Bartolomeo d’Ivrea in 1480. The rest of the afternoon can be spent in prayer and peaceful relaxation. The group will gather for a delicious meal featuring food from the local region this evening. (B, D)

Day 11 | Locarno – Zurich
Today we head to the last stop of our pilgrimage, Zurich. Zurich shows us a different side of Switzerland, the German side. Switzerland is home to very diverse cultures but the main thread between them all is their devotion to the Catholic Church. We have left the countryside for Zurich, a buzzing international hub. Before arrival in Zurich we stop in Einsiedeln to visit the Einsiedeln Abbey where we learn the history of Saint Meinrad. After prayer and reflection we continue on to Zurich where we share a dinner before having a free evening. (B, D)

Day 12 | Zurich
This morning we hit the city. Our guide will take us all around this metropolitan hub. We will visit many beautiful churches including the Liebfrauen. Our guide will also show us the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and other historical sites. We will take a walk along the river learning of the history of this city. This evening the group will share our last meal together before our travels the next day. (B, D)

Day 13 | Zurich – USA
After breakfast we will depart for the airport to take our flights back to the USA. (B)

Day 1 | USA –Tel Aviv
Depart the USA for Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served during your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 | Tel Aviv – Jerusalem
Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Remainder of the day is free to relax and rest after your long flights. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (D)

Day 3 | Jerusalem
In the morning we take a walking tour in the Old City of Jerusalem. From the chapels of the Flagellation and Lithostrotos, follow the 14 Stations of the Cross along the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) through the Old City to Calvary and Holy Sepulchre in the Basilica of the Resurrection. In the afternoon we visit the Wailing Wall, the holiest site of Judaism; the Mosques of Al Aksa and the Dome of the Rock– the Islamic presence in the Holy City; the Crusader Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 4 | Jerusalem
Start the day from the top of the Mount of Olives with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City. Visit the Chapels of Pater Noster, the Ascension, Dominus Flevit and the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the afternoon, visit Mount of Zion, St. Peter in Gallicantu (House of Caiphas), the Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle) and the Tomb of King David. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 5 | Jerusalem – Caesarea – Stella Maris – Mount Carmel – Nazareth
Today we leave Jerusalem traveling north to Galilee. We will drive the Mediterranean coast stopping in Caesarea, where we will see ancient Roman ruins. Continue north to Mount Carmel, visiting the Stella Maris Monastery. We go to Nazareth, visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well and the Chapel of St. Joseph. This evening we have the special opportunity to renew our wedding vows at the ‘Wedding Church’ in Cana. Tonight we stay in Nazareth. (B, D)

Day 6 | Nazareth – Mt. Tabor – Tiberias – Capernaum – Tabgha – Jericho
After a filling breakfast, ascend to the top of Mt. Tabor, the mount of Transfiguration for Holy Mass. The road up the mountain is so winding we must leave the coach at the base and take little mini–busses up! Our theologian guide and Spiritual Director will tell us about the Transfiguration of Jesus. Later we drive to Tiberius and sail across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit Capernaum, the home town of Jesus, then the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes, and on to Tabgha – to view the mosaics in the Church of the Loaves and Fishes. Check in this evening at an oasis–like resort in Jericho and rest. (B, D)

Day 7 | Jordan River – Jericho – Dead Sea
Christ was baptized by John in the Jordan River. This morning we beat the crowds by getting to the Jordan River early. On the banks of the Jordan we will celebrate Holy Mass and our Priest will renew our baptisms here. In the late morning visit the excavations of the oldest city in history, Jericho; view the Mount of Temptation. Depending on the energy level of the group, we may ascend the Mount of Temptation by foot. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth and spend the afternoon relaxing and floating in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jericho. (B, D)

Day 8 | Bethlehem – Ein Karem – Jericho
Today we visit Bethlehem, the Basilica of the Nativity, the Grotto and the Manger. We also stop at the Shepherd’s Field. In the afternoon we continue to Ein Karem, the valley of the Visitation, the Magnificat and the birthplace of John the Baptist. Then we take a panoramic drive through the city of Jerusalem, viewing the Knesset building and the Menorah. Dinner and overnight in Jericho, the oldest city in the world. (B, D)

Day 9 | Tel Aviv – Rome
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival, visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls as we travel the oldest Roman road, the Appian Way to our hotel. Check in to the hotel and enjoy another fantastic meal together. (B, D)

Day 10 | Rome
In the morning we will attend the Papal Audience and receive a Blessing by His Holiness the Pope in St. Peter’s Square. (Pending schedule of the Holy Father, subject to change at last moment). In the afternoon, we tour the city including famous monuments of Rome such as, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Basilica of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major. (B, D)

Day 11 | Rome
This morning we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, including Pope St. John Paul II’s tomb in Vatican City. Millions come every year to these breathtaking pilgrimage sites. This is the world’s largest Basilica, designed by architects such as Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. After lunch, we will tour the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, Raphael’s Room, and more. (B)

Day 12 | Rome
You are in the Eternal City –one of the greatest cities in the world. Today is free to relax. Enjoy a lunch on your own, but don’t fill up with too much pasta, as we have a special farewell dinner together tonight. (B, D)

Day 13 | Rome Departure to USA
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Rome for our flight home. Ciao Italia! (B)
